Nike/L-Kick

sorry, animation not available at the moment

You've probably seen this move done a billion times on MTV & other music chanells. The dancer jumps on only one hand, and then one leg kick forward very close to the face, so that the face touched the leg most of the time. The person looks somewhat like the Nike logo when this is done, which is why its called a Nike kick. It comes from Capoeira(brazilian martial art). You should be able to kick very high, and well over your head with ease. All a Nike kick really is is a high kick while balancing on one hand sideways. Dont attempt to bring your leg outward over your side...thats the ilusion of the kick. What you are really doing is bringing the leg forward, as in a high kick. Anyway, this move is quite easy(I've learned it in one week) and there is no special trick to it. Just practice a lot.
